Community Health and Wellness
At Cary Medical Center, we believe that delivering exceptional healthcare extends beyond our hospital walls.  That is why we frequently provide health and wellness education programs in local schools, businesses, organizations, and throughout the entire community so that all residents have access to life-changing, and sometimes life-saving, information.

We are proud to offer several community programs, many of which are free or at a very low cost to participants.  Our team of health educators facilitates training and education on a wide variety health, wellness, and safety topics, both at the hospital and at locations throughout the community.

Additionally, Cary Medical Center's Resource Library has a large collection of informative health and wellness materials including, books, brochures, and magazines.  The general public is welcome to take these resources out on loan for up to two weeks.  The resource library also has a selection of health related videos, medical journals, and CDs that the general public is welcome to review in the library (these items cannot be removed from the library).  Our resource library also has computers available with Internet access for online research.   College students have the additional benefit of requesting online abstracts from medical journals. If the article is located in Maine, it can be acquired without charge through the Health Science Library Consortium.  Our library staff would be happy to assist you in researching health and wellness information.  Visit our library guidelines page for more details.
